Program partners are essential to successfully implementing The Century Council’s programs in communities across America.

Our partners are involved from program creation to program implementation. In addition to our National Advisory Board members, we have advisory boards for education, traffic safety, Hispanic programs, and judicial education. These boards provide expertise on our key issues and program creation. For a list of our advisory board members, click here.

We pride ourselves on the partners who help create our programs such as Nickelodeon, the Society for Women’s Health Research, The United States Women’s Soccer Players Association, the American School Counselors Association, George Mason University, The American Advertising Federation, the Ad Council, the National Judicial College and the National Association of Drug Court Professionals, to name just a few. For a complete list of our program partners, click here.

In addition to our advisory boards and our program partners, we also involve elected officials in our program implementation process at the community level. These program launches are held in various community sites depending on the program. In the past those sites have included schools and universities, retail establishments, soccer camps, and state and national conferences. More than 500 elected officials have participated in our programs since we were founded in 1991. Governors, lieutenant governors, attorneys general, Members of Congress, and state and local legislators have all teamed up with us to reach children and parents with important messages and strategies regarding the prevention of underage drinking and drunk driving.

To partner with us or for more information on our partnerships with elected officials please contact us.

Attorney General Steve Carter

"Study after study suggests that youth who illegally drink alcohol obtain it from individuals they know... It is my hope this campaign [We Don't Serve Teens] will encourage parents to start and continue a dialogue with their teen about the dangers of underage drinking."
- Attorney General Steve Carter

General Carter first partnered with The Century Council to bring our Brandon Tells His Story program to the state of Indiana in 2005. He has since brought the program back nine times.

In early 2007, General Carter contributed his time and voice to two public service announcements produced in conjunction with us, highlighting the dangers of underage drinking. These announcements brought attention to two of our educational initiatives: Girl Talk: Choices and Consequences of Underage Drinking™ and We Don't Serve Teens.

In 2007, General Carter assisted us in launching the We Don't Serve Teens campaign as a statewide initiative. The We Don't Serve Teens campaign seeks to educate and remind adults that providing underage drinkers with beverage alcohol is illegal, unsafe, and irresponsible.
